Art in motion, senses awakened

Our Ambition
API – Arts Passants & Itinérants – is an association dedicated to the design, promotion, and dissemination of traveling art projects.
It acts as a trusted third party between artists, sponsors, and partners, transforming artistic visions into concrete, achievable, and shared projects.
API’s ambition is to become a leading organization in the field of transient and itinerant art in France, while gradually expanding its reach internationally, by promoting the values of accessibility, diversity, and artistic innovation.
Our proposals
Our Added Value: We take art beyond its walls to create experiences that connect places, audiences, and communities.
ARTISTIC EXPERIENCES
turnkey

API develops ready-to-deploy itinerant artistic experiences adapted to a wide variety of contexts: public spaces, natural sites, heritage sites, parks, businesses or private estates.
These devices are designed to integrate harmoniously into the spaces, respect their uses and offer a sensitive and accessible experience to all audiences.
Each route is designed as an invitation to slow down, observe, feel and rediscover a place in a different way, without requiring heavy logistics or complex mediation.
CO-CREATION
art trail

When the context, territory or project requires it, API supports the design of tailor-made artistic journeys.
We work closely with sponsors, artists and local partners to create experiences that are consistent with the identity of the place, its challenges and its audiences.
Co-creation allows for the creation of unique, meaningful journeys, rooted in their environment and capable of lasting over time.
ENGINEERING
cultural & financial
API supports project leaders in structuring, setting up and financing their traveling artistic initiatives.
This support includes assistance in defining the project, administrative engineering, the search for public or private funding, as well as securing legal and contractual frameworks.
Our goal is to remove obstacles to action and to make projects feasible, sustainable and long-lasting.
TRAINING
passing & itinerant art

API offers professional training courses dedicated to Passant and Itinerant Art.
These training courses are aimed at cultural actors, communities, artists, companies and any structure wishing to develop artistic projects integrated into places and uses.
They aim to transmit concrete methods, a project culture and a pragmatic approach to the design and deployment of artistic journeys.

Our Intention
API advocates a vision of art as a sensory experience, lived through movement and mindfulness.
“Art Passant et Itinérant” differs from spectacular or event-based forms: it is neither a live show nor a performance, but rather artistic proposals designed to accompany a journey, a walk, or a path.
Our approach prioritizes:
• the accessibility of the works and installations,
• ease of implementation,
• respect for the sites and their intended uses,
• a sensory impact rather than a spectacular effect.
Art thus becomes a companion on the journey, a revelator of places, and a vehicle for well-being.
OUR PARTNERS
Communities & institutions

API supports local governments, public institutions, and quasi-public organizations in implementing accessible and transformative arts projects.
Our initiatives help enhance the appeal of local areas, enrich visitor experiences, highlight public and natural spaces, and offer inclusive cultural experiences.
API works in particular with cities, intermunicipal associations, departments, regions, tourism bureaus, natural parks, and heritage sites.
Private actors

API also caters to private entities seeking to offer unique artistic experiences to their audiences, visitors, or employees.
Companies, parks, estates, sites open to the public, and foundations can leverage the Art Passant et Itinérant program to enrich the experience at their locations, enhance their image, and create moments of respite and meaning.
API programs are designed to adapt to the constraints and objectives of the business world, while maintaining high artistic and cultural standards.

YOUR PROJECT
The projects supported or designed by API take the form of traveling art trails, deployed in a variety of settings.
Each project serves a specific purpose: enhancing a site, improving the visitor experience, revitalizing a region, or creating an environment conducive to well-being and mindfulness.
Whether in urban, natural, or heritage settings, or integrated into professional environments, API trails are designed with usability, simplicity, and sustainability in mind.
